Armada Constructing Futures formally established and founding directors appointed
Armada Constructing Futures has been formally established as a Community Interest Company, marking the official launch of a new South West based foundation dedicated to construction training, community regeneration and long-term skills development.
The foundation has been built on a simple but ambitious idea: link live housing development directly to hands-on training, then reinvest every surplus pound into the next project. By acquiring and developing sites under a CIC structure, Armada Constructing Futures will recover capital from each scheme and recycle it into the next generation of training-led builds.
To lead this work, three founding directors have been appointed, each bringing decades of experience in finance, land and property, and education.
David Rudall of Greenwood Accountancy joins as financial director. With many years guiding businesses through every stage of growth, David brings the honesty, clarity and depth of financial knowledge needed to build a sustainable and well-governed foundation.
Jade Boyles-White of SmithWhite joins as property and development director. Her ability to secure, structure and sell developments across the land and property sector will play a central role in shaping the foundation's site pipeline and long-term strategy.
Mike Blakeley, Executive Director of Apprenticeships and Future Skills at Exeter College, joins as education director. His deep understanding of the education landscape — governing bodies, compliance and key government decision-makers — is already opening doors and shaping meaningful pathways for future learners.
Work is now underway on the foundation's pilot construction training site, the first of three programme stages that will culminate in the UK's first locally delivered GCSE in Construction.
Further announcements on partner sites, education collaborators and the first cohort of learners will follow in the coming months.
